Trend-Sketching NYC Bridal Market 2011 – Colin Cowie, Martha Stewart and The Knot Parties

I hope you have enjoyed our Bridal Market coverage over the last week!  Want to get caught up with all the gorgeousness from the runways and my inspired sketches?  Have a look here for coverage of Theia, Romona Keveza, Carol Hannah, Anne Barge, Monique Lhuillier, Lela Rose, The Dessy Group, Aruna Seth, Winnie Couture, Tara LaTour, Ivy&Aster, Margaret Rowe, and Claire Pettibone!

What comes after the grueling days of walking NYC, little sleep, running from show to show during Bridal Market?  You guessed it, THE PARTIES!  I tend to be shy, always have been but something this industry has taught me is that we all here to do one thing, celebrate life and create art for our brides!  So, when we get the chance to come together and party a bit, we do and do it WELL.  So read on for a peek into how leaders in this industry throw a party!!

Mr. Cowie celebrated the launch of his new site at the gorgeous Glass House space in NYC.  Innovative planning tools and a Q&A functionality are just some of the features of Colincowieweddings.com.  Brilliant!  Please do head over and have a look around, tell them the Momental Girls sent you!  Colin wowed us with delectable cuisine and exciting entertainment for a night.  The best part was hearing Colin speak of how far his company had come thanks to his team and industry supporters and clients.  Very inspiring!

On a side note I enjoyed meeting twitter friends in person like Erin from Sparkle and Hay and the witty Alison of The Knottie Bride.  Old friends Jackie from Merci New York and the always kind Marcy Blum, made me feel right at home!

Martha Stewart knows how to treat the weary Bridal Market goers! Fun stations were set around the space where we could wine, dine and primp ourselves.  We nibbled on some eye-candy cupcakes from Creme-Delicious ,  adorable miniature goodies from Peter Callahan Catering, and and sampled some dessert from the Soft Serve Fruit Co. Yum!

You may notice a certain photo below.  If you are thinking that is me in the shot with the lovely Martha Stewart you would be correct!!  I had the chance to meet Martha along with several other talented ladies and of course have it all caught in photos!  Pinch me please!

Entering the New York Public Library always conjures nostalgia but seeing it lit up like a starry evening sky puts your emotions on high!  Models walked amongst guests in showstoppers from Claire Pettibone, Anne Barge and others.  The step and repeat was full of the hottest names in weddings with Carley Roney greeting all.

We took our chance to strike a pose with Carley but also enjoyed seeing Claire Pettibone alongside one of the most talked about gowns of Bridal Market.  Also, who doesn’t love a little Randy Fenoli?

Thank you again Martha Weddings, Colin Cowie and The Knot for having us to celebrate! Until next year! XOXO
