When I first met Heather I instantly knew she was the  perfect client.  With a love for watercolors and a heart for travel, we had so much to draw from when sitting down to design for her wedding.  Heather’s celebration unfolded near the ocean so we created a suite of artwork to communicate their love ocean air and sandy travel.  First was an abstract ocean pattern meant to be free hand painted on wood blocks. I will be forever fascinated by the undulating, watery tones of watercolor textures.  I remember picking up my first paintbrush as a young girl and being taught how to make color burst on a wet page.  To this day nothing gets me more inspired than putting brush to a wet sheet of watercolor paper to watch the colors explode.  Wedding trends have caught on and fast.  I adore the delicately painted linen seen in the top left as well as Canvas and Canopy’s watercolor interpretation in blooms seen in the bottom right!  Last but not least are the sugar-color stunning-ness […]

This week’s production table was full of watercolor textures and dramatic color palettes.  Christina planned a perfectly sophisticated 40th Anniversary celebration for her parents with my watercolor scarlett roses as each guest’s first glimpse into the event to come .  The look is meant to be graceful, elegant and bold.  Each rose was flooded with juicy, red watercolor while gold shimmery inks filled the leaves with glistening color.
