So when an artist is asked to paint for a well known brand, it’s pretty exciting.  Late last year our friends at Plum Pretty Sugar came to me with an idea and today I am so honored to share the fruits of this idea! {BHLDN carries an exclusive collection of Bridesmaid and Flower Girl Robes from Plum Pretty Sugar and now one of our watercolor pieces is part of this collection!} We worked through about 6 different pattern options in various palettes but landed on what we call our Peach Peony Garden pattern. {Have a closer look at the pattern!}

I heard somewhere the best way to combat the winter blues is to eat fruit and look at fresh flowers.  Well, I certainly have the fresh flower piece covered.  After a dreamy Spring and Summer season filled with cut blooms from my garden everywhere I looked, I was determined to stay inspired through the cold Winter months.  I’ve made friends with my local florist, ordered bouquets for myself when I know select varieties are in stock and most recently attended the Philadelphia Flower Show, coming home with over 6 dozen blooms to play with.  Needless to say, our home has […]

Recently my newest floral pattern came to life within the pages of the most recent Utterly Engaged issue.  If you haven’t seen the film yet, take a look here and let me know what you think! Utterly Engaged invited us to create 5 distinctly different looks from the same pattern and here is what we came up with… First I was feeling festive a bumped the saturation on this lively pattern filled with rose-like swirls, vibrant leaves and lush succulent shapes.  Mustard, persimmon, teal and cherry red were highlighted by gold touches and a graceful invitation shape.  All presented in […]
