Our Signature Lacy Tree Invitations have a distinctive charm, a certain swagger; they paint a scene of lazy afternoons or breezes rustling through the branches.  Watercolor seems the perfect medium to bring these mini landscapes to life and a touch of whimiscal lacy pattern keeps the look from becoming entirely too serious.  Rebecca’s version of quite possibly my favorite Momental Collection features a live oak and her lovely church in the background. The Grand del Mar resort epitomizes old world elegance with the flair of eclectic personality.    With this impressive location as our backdrop we chose a lush palette of whispery whites to conjure a scene of full of contrasts.  Georgia O’Keeffe paintings inspire lush textures and lavish moods…  Old meets new with a distinctly modern twist…. We’re amidst some of the most thrilling times of the year.  Wedding season is in full swing and so are our creative spirits!  Today I’m sharing some projects still very much in development as well as a favorite from the production table last week! Late last week I create a new watercolor featuring Succulents, Scabiosa Pods, Peegee Hydrangeas, Raspberries and Seeded Eucalyptus; the perfect ingredients for a rustic wedding bouquet…When fashioned into an invitation layout the silvery greens and washy blues became lovely neutrals against a burgundy and silver paper palette. This gal loves to play with lace and fabric so when Leot gave us a call, I knew we were in for a fun and thrilling design ride!  Our watercolor illustrations were what first caught her eye and before I knew it a sketch of her venue, One and Only Ocean Club in the Bahamas became the focal point of her entire painted stationery ensemble.
