Remember this eclectic inspiration board? Well Catherine has traversed our design process over the last 2 months and a modern, quirky design was on the painting table this week as a result! The Momental Girls all had a hand (literally) in the project from painting chevron patterns to adhering reception cards to vintage post cards. Catherine chose a palette of sunny golds, shimmering tans with accents of opaque gray and burgundy. Early on she fell in love with this ensemble for it’s eclectic mix of landscape sketches and this look for the antique palette of colors. We designed a fun […]

Earlier this week I shared Lauren and Maarten’s wedding images as seen in the Fall/Winter The Knot, Ohio issue! Today I am bringing you images not seen in the magazine and more on the hand painted wedding invitations! Lauren’s wedding was highly inspired by her Watters gown. A stunning closeup of this classic bouquet in shades of white and the softest of pinks. Envelopments coral, magnolia and ecru were used throughout. Awe-inspiring ceremony. Love those baby blue walls! The ceremony space warms subtly with richer tones of gold and pink… How sweet! We drew a heavily petaled Camellia blooms for […]
The studio is bustling with ideas and projects this time of year. We love the variety of mid-summer, everything from blooms and feathers to venue sketches and snowflakes are on the painting table! I pulled a few favorites from the last week to share. First up is Alyssa’s cheerful and elegant day-of accessories. Custom wedding programs, wedding seating cards and handmade wedding table number cards all coordinated in shades of pink, gold and blush! Samantha’s lush and whimsical blooms are perfectly balanced in shades of blue, lavender and periwinkle. We adore the combination of poppies and hydrangeas with Envelopments iconic […]
We were beyond thrilled to have the editors of Brides.com choose Brittany’s cheeky cherry Handmade Wedding Invitations as one of their favorites of the summer! Sweet and small cherry watercolor sketches adorned the table number. Our favorite detail; the free-hand painted number in creamy white acrylic with white dots in between each pair of cherries! Brittany’s wedding took place at Bower’s Harbor Inn in Michigan, which is surrounded by you guessed it… cherry orchards! Head on over to Brides.com and let us know what you think!
Flipping through the most recent issue of Lucky Magazine, this beauty caught my eye. Reading on I learned more about what Lisa Salzar of Lulu Frost named her 100 Years Collection, where baubles in each necklace represent finds from 1860-1960. Seen below are elements of French Enamel, Art Deco and Czech Glass. The Czech glass seen below was often mistaken for precious gemstones. We love the vintage dress clips seen below left that took a day dress right into the evening! Victorian Glam from our Movements Collection harks a similar vibe of vintage-marries-modern seen in Lisa’s creations. Here iconic […]
