Our summer was filled with gorgeous design, the messiest of painting tables and some amazing collaborations.  Leila of Be Inspired PR is not just the gal who knows people, she is a talented and insightful designer of sorts who know how to assemble a team, inspire good design and style a killer stationery shot in my absence I might add.  Leila brought together a team to create an imaginary 6th Birthday Party and the results are sure to inspire the kid in you!  From richly saturated floral design in shades of red and fuchsia to stripes of all kinds from […]

Logo sketch created for Engage!10 swag bag For those of you who follow my posts regularly, you know that my twice a year dose of industry inspiration are the Engage symposiums expertly orchestrated by Rebecca Grinnals and Kathryn Arce of Engaging Concepts. In June I was lucky enough to be immersed in the vibrancy and grace that for me defines the Cayman Islands. Read more here and here to catch up a bit with my Engage story. Last Friday was one of those days in the studio; a really good day filled with wet brushes and messiness that led to pretty.   Just looking at this new pattern makes me smile, has Kelley wanting new personal stationery and made Jess yell just a bit…in excitement of course.  If you know Jess, you know a scream in the studio is usually a good thing….  Isn’t it reassuring, in our technology driven lives,  that the simple act of seeing color and shape can bring a bit of joy, inspiration or excitement?  I think so.  There is still something magical about […]

When it came time to vision the day-of accessory items Michelle gave me full reign.  Her palette again evolved to include rich jewel tones […]

I am so excited to share Part II of Denise and JJ’s wedding.  Part II is all about the glorious color and texture their venue brought plus a little about Denise’s unique hand painted letterpress wedding invitations! Get a look at the quirky fuchsia chaise and those mod lantern/screen structures at each table.  I love the contrast of shapes and finishes; organic verses structured and lush verses sleek…stunning. A touch of waxflower in the centerpieces is so unexpected! Quite possibly my favorite shot…the bubbles, the ferns, the texture, oh my! Denise chose our Vintage Lacy Tree Collection with dragonfly artwork […]
