There is just something about a light filled space that captures our hearts…I’ve said it before, I am a color lover and when presented with a chance to fill up my brush with juicy red ink or creamy white, you can guess where my comfort zone gravitates to.  Alicia, a past Momental Bride helped me fall in love with white, and this shoot produced by the charming Sarah Chancey, deepened my appreciation for all the lovely that neutral palettes inspire us with. For this inspiration shoot, recently featured in the Fall/Winter 2013 issue of Magnolia Rouge Magazine, we developed a […]

I adore collaborating with the team at Project Wedding.  They continually produce editorial designed to not only inspire but to enlighten a bit, I believe.  Have a look at the last time I got creative with them here. Mandalas, loosley described as a spiritual symbol of the universe, have their roots in Hinduism.  Often drawn intricately or carved into the ground or sand, these round symbols of life and spiritual earth each have their own visual personality.  This wedding inspiration shoot interpreted the Mandala as a floral symbol of never ending love and unity.  My interpretation of the Mandala was […]

I know when the following two things happen my world is about to get so much more interesting: 1.  I get the chance to work with Cortnie from Canvas and Canopy Events 2.  She uses the words “Ghostly, shipwrecked, ethereal, romantic, glam” to describe the project’s aesthetic.  Yes, indeed.  My team and I were lucky enough to be part of Cortnie and Donny’s dream wedding design team and the fruits of this labor were recently seen first in BRIDES Magazine, then on 100 Layer Cake and Green Wedding Shoes!  So I’m excited to finally share more about the amazing painted […]

Bold blue made a reoccurring appearance in the studio this week.  Envelopments’ Mercury Blue has become a staple here and this week acted out both it spirited and reserved personalities.  First up are Melissa’s Vintage Lotus Save the Dates.  Mercury Blue is front and center and accented with a regal damask and saturated orange hues.  Painted consisted of gold strokes, persimmon dots and soft green leaf accents.  Wow!  Se more of the project’s progression plus a peek at her invitations here… Alison’s day of menus featured the same Mercury Blue but in a much more understated voice.  Blue Delphinium  paired […]

So today I’m wrapping up a trip down memory where I re-posted a favorite project from last year. Get caught up here, here and here…  The shots I’m showing today are some of the most eccentric and those I have never shown before.  Sometimes we need to challenge ourselves and step outside the box of all we assume.  Weddings and events are not meant to be cookie cutter.  There is just too much interesting in this world to do what everyone else has done before.  This shoot allowed me and a team of creatives to explore the more eclectic and […]
