Handmade custom invitations & stationery

This week’s production table was full of watercolor textures and dramatic color palettes.  Christina planned a perfectly sophisticated 40th Anniversary celebration for her parents with my watercolor scarlett roses as each guest’s first glimpse into the event to come .  The look is meant to be graceful, elegant and bold.  Each rose was flooded with juicy, red watercolor while gold shimmery inks filled the leaves with glistening color. Nicole contacted me several months ago after seeing her friend Denise’s stationery.  Her palette immediately drew me in and peaked my curiosity.  Gold, intense purple and orange all played a part in […]

Michelle got in touch months ago after seeing this feature on Green Wedding Shoes.   Our Vintage Lacy Tree Collection caught her eye and was the perfect way to introduce guests to the Saddlerock Ranch in Malibu, CA, where all the wedding festivities  will be held.  As Michelle’s design evolved, so did her enchanting color palette.  We began with navy and sage green which built gradually into, navy, copper, shimmery whites, greens and a hint of lavender. When it came time to vision the day-of accessory items Michelle gave me full reign.  Her palette again evolved to include rich jewel tones […]

It has been a while since I have given you a peek into the studio.  We are swamped and LOVING every minute of it.  Client projects are shipping daily and I think we owe our UPS guy a massage gift certificate.   The seasons pass before our eyes each year with our invitation designs as a barometer of sorts.  This week I chose four unique projects that we just adored creating. Miguelina’s posh and bold buckle wedding invitation in shades of fuchsia and orange really grabs your eye!  Anne’s soft and subtle Contrast Painted white peony is stunning against her […]

This week’s Inspired Ink post evolved out of a simple Twitter conversation that transpired a while back.  Annemarie from Perfect Bound “tweeted” this colorful headboard project courtesy of Design Sponge. Here is what she said: and then me…. and so the challenge was born… Headboard The simple pattern instantly reminded me of Matisse’s later cutout pieces with its dynamic shapes and bold contrast of color and space.  I love how the  pattern instantly enlivens the space and am fascinated by how a simplistic silhouette can communicate such elegance.  Surprisingly this is what I am most drawn to and the color […]
