Last fall the lovely ladies of Eve Events got in touch to involve me in what turned out to be an incredible experience.  They explained that the editors of The Knot were crafting an inspiration story around the beauty of a Monique Lhuillier gown.  All details from china to linens and stationery were to be inspired by the The Field of Dreams Collection as described here by Monique herself: “Butterflies, branches, twigs, wheat stalks and feathers all delicately woven into the collection.  Lots of texture created with organza, tulle, floral embroideries appliqued onto sheer corsets with whimsical skirts…Romance is back!!” […]

We are off and running with 2011 projects and this week has already been full of some stunning painted paper goodies.  First up is Rachel bold and red Hibiscus bloom painted with sheer shimmer inks.  Papers choices included a lovely linen textured palm leaf pattern and a shimmery brick red cardstock.  The celebrations is unfolding at Zephyr Palace, Villa Caletas in Puerto Rico.   Rachel and Spencer’s artwork tag features a stunning view of the ceremony site with the serene waters as a backdrops.  Guests should be instantly enchanted by the scene, I know we were while painting the original! I am fresh off the phone with a new couple and feeling full of joy and ready to pick up the brush.    Spanish inspired scroll work is my muse for a new painting this week.  The board below begins to tell the story of a sophisticated design full of artful personality soon to come to life.  Grateful for new conversations and fresh ideas today. Thank goodness for The Momental Girls.  They make Momental what it is and their talent, day in, day out floors me.  I am grateful. Last week  Joy spent hours lavishly painting my Amaryllis artwork with creamy white inks against a shimmery champagne cardstock.  Our Bride, Heather was bold in her choice of bright cobalt papers from Envelopments.  We are loving this unique color palette for her December celebration.  The handmade wedding invitation  look was finished with a blue Ensemble Folder with wrap and artwork tag.
