The Painter’s Wedding Cover Reveal

This blog post has been writing itself for many years. Today is a special day as I hit publish on The Painter’s Wedding Cover Reveal!

In 2013 I felt the rumblings of an idea. Maybe you are familiar with a restless vibe that keeps you excitedly awake at night? Or maybe you’ve had a crazy idea that few seem to get but you cannot shake? Well, The Painter’s Wedding was just that idea for me. You see this idea seemed unsuited for me, when I looked at it logically. But logic isn’t always my signpost in life, my gut is.

{A wedding planner I am not, but a wedding dreamer I am. }

Since 2009 I’ve been producing wedding shoots… You know, the fake weddings that everyone has a love/hate relationship with? Of course these dream-worthy wedding scenes have the ability to simultaneously fire us up and stress us out. But why the stress? I’d much rather see couples fixate on the fired up part?? And this point of stress is where my book The Painter’s Wedding began. I wanted to give couples the next step in DOING their wedding…Sensing that couples craved the knowledge to dream creatively is what fueled my il(logical) idea and propelled the words from my mind to the page.

Pinterest is the bomb dot com, no one will deny it. In fact, it’s hard to imagine life before Pinterest, but for weddings, Pinterest is tricky, albeit still invaluable. I noticed our Momental couples filling up boards, gorgeous boards full of the dreamiest of dreamy ideas…but their excitement ended once the last image was pinned.

{These same couples,who pinned like mad, couldn’t find their way to a bridge between SEEING THE DREAM on screen, made up of hundreds of hijacked blog images and DOING THE DREAM in real life.}

Years of art studio critique, critical thinking art history lectures and countless museum walks had taught me just that-how to DO THE DREAM or think creatively, how to not only see an idea and copy it but to develop the idea, from scratch.

And so over 4 years teams were gathered, plane tickets bought and friendships were forged. Each team of creatives willing to collaborate, were invaluable to the message, integral to the development and not only made this book possible but made this book tangible.

So with 256 pages and 16 chapters The Painter’s Wedding will teach you to THINK LIKE A PAINTER!
