Black and Rose Gold Glam New Year's Eve Wedding Invitations

We may have finally outdone ourselves with these black and rose gold glam New Year’s Eve Wedding Invitations. The bride’s vision was very clear from the beginning: all black, and all stunning. So that’s what we did! We incorporated every black texture we could find… glitter cardstock, mirror-finish cardstock, and velvet ribbon. {And since it was a New Year’s Eve wedding, you have to have some sparkle and glitter.  Rose gold foil, glitter cardstock, shiny black rhinestones, and shimmery spatter were just the right accents. } For us, the star of the show is the hand painted peonies on the […]

Indigo Blue Stationery at Estancia Culinaria

When we were asked to participate in a shoot at the lovely Estancia Culinaria venue in Florida, of course we jumped at the opportunity. It’s a rustic-elegant setting, offering a perfect backdrop. We love how it all turned out and are so excited to share these images with you! Especially that contrast between the casual and inviting outdoor setting and the abstract, artistic stationery pieces… it all came together perfectly. While many softer shades were used in the florals, the overall color theme was “indigo blue” and we could not wait to design a stationery suite to celebrate this beautiful […]

We’re so happy to share this Soft Watercolor Venue Illustration Wedding Stationery suite with you! All of Karlene’s luxurious stationery drew inspiration from her fantastic wedding location, The Ashford Estate. Each piece featured a different view of the property, to give guests a peek at where the festivities would take place. Not only did each piece have a different illustration, but as presentation of the suite was super-important to the bride, we created layers of softly hand-painted pieces to unwrap. We began with the invite itself, set against opulent cardstocks and a subtle lavender watercolor wash in a gatefold presentation. This […]

We were honored to work with bride Katie on all of her summery Watercolor Florals and Greens wedding invitations, save the dates, and accessories last year, and are excited to share a few glimpses here with you! She combined scenic custom venue illustrations with soft white roses and leaves. We love her simple green and white color palette, carried through the stationery and florals. Katie and AY were married in the lovely countryside near Charlottesville, Virginia, and their watercolor save the date featured the rolling Blue Ridge Mountains. {The stationery we created fit perfectly into a wedding that matched sweet Southern […]

watercolor-letterpress-wedding-invite

Blind letterpress printing has always captivated me.  There’s something magical about text and artwork being pressed deeply into thick, cottony stocks without and color from ink. In these Foil and Watercolor Wedding Invitations, each impression comfortably rests into the paper’s surface. This combined with seeing my illustrations beautifully diluted in this way is a joy. Blind letterpress is quite literally a letterpress impression in the paper without the use of any color – hence the “blind” name.  Subtlety and texture reign high here as the focal point of the piece is not color and bling, instead the wow becomes the nuance of the paper’s […]
