Blind letterpress printing has always captivated me.  There’s something magical about text and artwork being pressed deeply into thick, cottony stocks without and color from ink. In these Foil and Watercolor Wedding Invitations, each impression comfortably rests into the paper’s surface. This combined with seeing my illustrations beautifully diluted in this way is a joy. Blind letterpress is quite literally a letterpress impression in the paper without the use of any color – hence the “blind” name.  Subtlety and texture reign high here as the focal point of the piece is not color and bling, instead the wow becomes the nuance of the paper’s […]

You may have seen this post a few weeks back…and if not, go ahead, take a look.  I’ve been saving this post for the season and since Thanksgiving is upon us here in the states, well I figured it was just about that time.  All cozy and warm, this stationery’s color palette seems right at home as we near the middle of November. Every year I throw a bash for my team, to essentially let them know how awesome they are and of course for another excuse to pretend I’m an event designer!  Last year’s Botticelli Inspired Stationery was graciously featured in […]

Friends, I adore throwing parties.  Little feels quite as exhilarating as witnessing the fruits of your artistic labors being enjoyed across many experiences and times.  From a WOW invitation being delivered and receiving texts about “how amazing they are” to sitting down to a five course meal carefully orchestrated for exactly the guest list you’ve curated – well it feels just wonderful. Treating people well and treating them to joyful, enriching experience is the stuff of amazing event design… {I don’t profess to be an event designer, although my alter ego may disagree…} I simply find great joy in hosting my […]

Something happens to me when watercolor and blind letterpress meet.  Juicy color just barely exploding into the delicate crevices of artwork pressed into thick stock is a revelation. {Marissa welcomed us to take a new Momental classic and spin the idea a bit.  Blind pressed botanical sketches mingled effortlessly with loose and graceful watercolor brushstrokes.} Marissa’s Rose Gold and Botanical Blind Letterpress Wedding Invitations Wedding Invitation is officially a new favorite…but let’s be honest, I have a new favorite every week it seems.

I’m enchanted – not in the princess, girly way, but in the way you might be smitten with the blue of the sky one morning or the way fresh cut grass smells on a Sunday. A Blind Letterpress and Foil combination for Wedding Invitations Heather’s design process to reach the end that is this invitation suite, began far from what you see here.  Heather began with bolder watercolor flowers, tons of color and detailed embellishments… {suddenly one day, she came into her design aesthetic, meaning, she realized that subtlety was her jam} Don’t get me wrong, I love a visually […]
