For our Painterly Prose post today, we have an example from Dionne Christiansen (@nibandpixel). This bold, flowing style works great for a watercolor fill effect, and just a simple wash to finish it off. It would be a great choice for one of our watercolor wedding invitations!

It might be hard to find an invite with more customized illustration than these watercolor wedding invitations…. We were able to paint the bride’s venue for her, a beautiful country farmhouse, with the barn on the wrap. The rehearsal dinner card featured a simple ocean scene to set the mood for a seaside dinner, and a personalized timeline shows the bride and groom’s story, and wedding events. We have another fun, colorful fall wedding invitation to share today…. customized with the couples’ venue and dogs. We love the autumn colors and rustic woodland vibe on every card. Even the response card and wedding timeline were custom illustrated to match each event. Textural letterpress printing and a shimmery gold border on the invitation add a little classic flare to the woodsy watercolor wedding stationery design.
