Tropical orchids abound in this colorful Hawaii wedding invitations. Strong fuchsia and white blooms create a dramatic frame for a cut-away view of a lush tropical island. Heavy white and gold hand painting is a fun contrast to the soft flowing watercolor oceanscape. With so much artwork, not much else is needed to get everyone excited for the event!
Glittering gold foil, bright city lights, and hand painted fireworks light up the night sky in this impressionistic rehearsal dinner invitation. Hand painted textural dots and rhinestones give the stars dimension, above a subtle twinkling cityscape. We’ve been seeing many, many gorgeous rehearsal invitation concepts here in the studio lately, and this piece is no exception. What a fantastic use of foil printing too, it strikes a beautiful contrast against a dark background. Check out another vision of a Night Sky Invitation here, for a softer, dreamier take on a similar theme.
This week’s Painterly Prose features a sweet thought from Dionne Christiansen, in free flowing, whimsical script. A perfect match for our loose, sketchy blooms touched with vibrant watercolor. Who will you share your journey with today?
Looking at this invitation, you can almost feel a warm Mediterranean breeze, with a hint of lemon. Carlena’s Watercolor Amalfi Wedding Invitations is personalized with fuchsia peonies, a hand-cut tag, and a custom map of the area to guide guests to each event of the weekend. Festive watercolor botanicals and lemons accent the Italian coastal scene. Kristy’s favorite watercolor pigment makes an appearance as well – Winsor and Newton’s Opera Rose is that luscious pink you see painted into each peony. We love the bright yellow and Opera Rose combination for sure. Daring but so worth the experiment in color! Saluti!
