Jess and Brad planned a wedding that mirrored their unconventional love story beautifully. {Set in a dilapidated cathedral with dinner and partying to follow in an auction house, I had the privileged of experiencing it all first hand.} You see, Jess is a Momental and when I learned she was getting married I put my creative brain into full effect offering her my “services” wherever she needed me. The styling plan for this Artsy Auction House Wedding was simple and heartfelt.  Jess and Brad curated personal items filled with sentimental value; plants, ceramic sculptures, small tins, to make pretty on […]

Websters 1828 dictionary defines Heirloom as the following: HEIR-LOOM, noun are-loom. Any furniture, movable, or personal chattel, which by law descends to the heir with the house or freehold; as tables, cupboards, bedsteads, etc. Love it…and at this statement’s heart is a powerful idea…What is some-thing you adore so much that you would cherish and protect it for the duration of your life, in the hopes it could be passed to future generations?  My mind wanders to a Family Bible, stuffed with hair clippings, momentous greeting cards and the occasional invitation; all heirlooms too, I’d say.  So that is where […]

Happy 4th!

So my yard is full of fireworks ready for nightfall.  The sodas are on ice and I’m off to enjoy a day with family and friends!  I pulled this peacock abstract out of the archives, so to speak (haven’t seen it in a while).  It has a patriotic palette and explosive vibe, don’t you think?  Perfect for a little Independence Day cheer.  Have fun all and stay safe!

The pups love hanging out with me as I […]

I won’t belabor the reasons why this is my first and last post of the week but just the same I’ve missed you dear blog!!  This time of year is infamous at the studio as we are in high season, preparing for Engage! conferences (this year in Vegas) and managing various other projects.  May of 2012 has proven to be a record breaker.  This week…. I painted my heart out…floral patterns seem to be my current obsession. Loads of watercolor, juicy textures and the coolest, my newest shade of neon pink have me quite excited. On Tuesday we were guests […]
