Handmade custom invitations & stationery
by Kristy Rice
Know any artists on your Holiday list or at least an admirer? If you are like me, anything with a hand-crafted story or artful/vintage edge will catch your eye. This gift guide is for the artfully inspired in all of us! Kelley and I are obsessed with quilling so Kristen’s precise creations really hit the mark! Cross-stich pillows from Anthropologie reminded me of of the color in Rebecca’s newest sample and Jill’s bent tree – would love these in my sunroom!
Carissa from JL Designs just launched her holiday collection. These long lasting succulents adorned with a touch of lace are stunning! My purse pic of the season is Kate Spade’s Grosgrain Plisse Priti tote with pintuck detailing. Ms. Spade if you are listening (wouldn’t that be a dream?) I would love to design a bag together – perhaps my camellia sketch would do? A girl can dream right?
Bontanica Magnifica is actually on my personal wish list. Jonathan Singers images are both haunting and detailed and can I say I hope the hubby is reading this post right now! Gold Paper maché hearts from Paloma’s Nest had a special place in my Watercolor Harvest shoot in October. Their simple shape and poignant messages grab you instantly. I own several of Laura’s hand-sculpted jewelry pieces and seem to find someone on my list each year to introduce to her work. Laurabee Studios is right in my backyard and on Etsy!
Danny Robert’s work is a daily inspiration, so much that he was my latest Artful Admiration on this blog. His Daydreaming Sketch is alive with motion and message. L’Occitane’s Lemon Verbena Harvest is my signature fragrance and while it is difficult to find this time of year, it is definitely worth the search. Last, but certainly not least on the list are these nifty recipe cards from Rifle Paper Co. Anna Bond recently launched her shop and had some of her work featured in the Holiday 09 issue of Oprah. Love it!
A big thanks to Style Me Pretty’s Inspiration Board tool as I am blogging on the go today!
