Handmade custom invitations & stationery
by Kristy Rice

Several months ago I received word that our sweet couple Jill and Kevin’s wedding was set to be featured in The Knot, GA.  We were so thrilled as Jill has the loveliest sense of detail and design and was a sheer joy to work with.  Jill’s celebration spot, Bent Tree in Jasper, Georgia gave the couple all the inspiration needed to craft a wow wedding with the fabulous Ashley Baber by their side.  We asked Jill to give us a little peek into her day, so here goes!

What was your inspiration for your colors and/or theme?
We wanted to enhance what was already provided for us by Mother Nature: a blue lake, green fields and beautiful white sun beams streaming through the forest. We kept it simple, organic and ethereal and we loved it!

Curious to see how Jill’s wedding invitation design and watercolor painting evolved?

How did your stationery play a role in your wedding?

We wanted our invitations to provide our guests a sneak peak of the beautiful scenery that would surround our wedding celebrations at Bent Tree.

Tell us about the one thing you would not change about your wedding, and what is the one thing you would change if you could?
We loved loved loved our wedding location! It was a bit off the beaten path and took some extra coordination (thanks to Ashley Baber!) but Bent Tree is a very special place to us, which made the weekend so much more intimate and personal.

We wish we could have extended our reception for another hour! All of our friends and family were having a blast on the dance floor all night and we didn’t want it to end!

Who was your photographer and your florist?
Our photographer was the lovely Christine Gallagher and our florist was my amazing mom, Melody Saunders, who owns Simply Elegant Floral Designs. Advice to brides: invest in your photographer and your flowers!!!

Thanks so much Jill for sharing details about your gorgeous day!!
