A Real Momental Wedding – Jaime and Tom's Wedding, Adare Castle in Ireland Part I

When I first received the inquiry to design an invitation inspired by Adare Castle in Ireland, I could hardly believe my luck.  The Hubby and I had the good fortune of spending a night at this castle two years ago during our time in Co Limerick, Ireland.  We arrived there one stormy night and immediately felt like we were walking into a scene from a renaissance novel, quite enchanting.  Sharon the Bride’s Mom spent several months with Kelley and I designing the perfect hand painted letterpress wedding invitations for her daughter.

So today a little teaser look into Jaime and Tom’s day.  A bit of the inspiration from Jaime’s Mom Sharon:

What was your inspiration for your colors and/or theme?

The inspiration for the theme was simply Irish Heritage.  Jaime’s late paternal grandfather had been born in Listowel, Ireland and raised in Wexford, Ireland. Years ago, on a trip to Ireland to visit relatives, we stayed at Adare Manor.  They were prepping for a celebration to be held in Minstrel’s Gallery and we thought it was a beautiful setting for a wedding.

Christina from Brosnon Photography captured Jaime and Tom’s day perfectly.  The ring shot set against an Irish newspaper is so fun!  The understated elegance of blue hyacinths in Jaime’s bouquet caught my eye instantly!
