Pattern has a way of pulling me in and not letting go.  I see it everywhere from a field of Queen Anne’s Lace to a portion of my latest pencil sketch.   A good pattern takes what is most balanced and beautiful about a flower, curve or shape and repeats it in a way that makes you want to never stop looking.  Anthropologie is out with their newest line of diggs inspired by Vintage Japanese Textiles.  I haven’t stopped looking…now I share my fixation with you. On Monday I shared some stunner images from a project with Kate Miller recently seen on Style Me Pretty.  Gold and purple was the color story and eclectic natural surroundings were the space this shoot unfolded within.  Geodes in all their glistening glory were used everywhere from the cake to the bride’s jewelry…Each place setting in fact featured a thin piece of violet hued material. When Kate Miller of Kate Miller Events contacted me about creating pieces for an Ombre Inspired Wedding Shoot I think I said yes before she uttered 5 words!  Geode‘s were the natural inspiration element and purples and golds were the color palette of choice…what could be better? This natural spot in Folsom, California could not have suited the design more beautifully.  Large boulders feature an ombre effect as a natural backdrop to Kate’s creation.  Ruffly prettiness, wow pops of violet and purple and loads of contrasting texture make this shoot a standout for real wedding inspiration.  Sarah Maren’s juicy style […]
