Welcome to my gallery of current projects!
You may be wondering why this gallery is named Muddy Brushes…well let me tell you. A Momental invitation always begins with my original artwork and muddy paintbrushes.
A Muddy Brush is well-used, creatively worn and sopping with hints of vibrant color fresh from the day’s creations. Wet paint on my hands and dripping wet brushes are the signs of good work and great beginnings. For me, the best invitation designs begin with an idea and then a touch of the brush to paper.
So enjoy this gallery as it is updated often and know you are welcome to leave comments on your favorite designs!

I love the added purple painting on the save the date rose!
Wow, the purple is so striking! I used a more intense palette on the invite compared to soft and light save the date.

Adding the paisley pattern really softens the look overall. So pretty!
The green and gray palette works well when combined with other summery colors, like soft gold, pink and blue.

Decisions, Decisions!
Seeing this wildflower garden come to life is exciting! Hand painted strokes in soft gold and lively pink add a conservative vibrancy.

The look here is much softer, less fussy and more romantic!

Color rhinestones will be perfect. Magenta/purple borders are limited so we chose this soft lilac paisley for a bit of contrast!
Oh so rich!
I love the reverse color scheme. The pattern is done in a dark eggplant to soften the look a bit in comparison to the black used in the previous sample.
This might perhaps be one of the loveliest versions of the Petal we have done. It has such a beautiful, artistic feel!
I chose a shimmering champagne cardstock in addition to a textured indigo and eggplant. Hand-painted details on this vintage inspired invitation pop in shades of indigo, fuchsia and eggplant (an tiny celery green leaves)!

Wow! So excited about the color!
The color here is fantastic and I love the fuchsia hand painted details on the rose – wow!

This version is much richer and dramatic!
This look would been striking even without the flourishes in the bottom corners!
I experimented with the Camilla illustration for this Pocketfold® style invitation. The border on this invite is a gold/black paisley for a bit of drama! The Sculpted Bloom is still a favorite especially with the gold tips and rhinestone center.
So excited about your Sculpted Bloom invitation! I combined our Vintage Lacy pattern for a bit of pattern and texture. Several blossoms are painted in creamy white to really pop against the shimmering ivory cardstock. The sculpted bloom stamens are tipped in gold.

Angel is so cute, she has become a studio favorite!
The version with the pattern paper is my favorite! The soft peach and ivory palette is so gorgeous.

The new color palette is so rich and dramatic!
I created a sketchy look with a new hydrangea illustration. The washes of watercolor look so pretty on champagne cardstock!
