A Peek into the Studio – Lace Wedding Invitations

Oh how I love this invitation suite.  Several months ago I purchased some laces, just to play and here we are.  My “playing” often leads to a stationery project that I may never have dreamed could work but for Christina, it certainly did.  The two varieties of lace acted as a closure along with the silvery satin ribbon tie.  I love the delicate design of the lace contrasted by it sumptious, cottony texture – lovely!

Her lacy artwork choice was hand painted with a vibrant coral ink and then embellished with tiny rhinestones throughout.

Thank you Christina for trusting us to create this unique wedding invitation design for you!

So, what am I up to?

Waiting impatiently for the Summer 2010 issue of Inside Weddings to hit the shelves on Thurday!!!  I cannot wait to share the Painted Orchid Invitation set I created with the help of Envelopments®

Just wrapping up a new project with Jennifer Simpson for B is for Bride in Alabama!  Caroline from Paloma’s Nest featured a sneak peek of the paper cameos I created for the shoot.

Still wading through the Utah ceremony photos from Lindsey Stewart of Green Apple Photography.  Did you miss these sneak peeks here, here and here.

Oooh the mix of champagne and silver is so unique and unexpected!

Wow, loving the bold purple palette!  We added a bit of patterned paper beneath the rhinestone buckle wrap.  I added painted dots throughout!

Perfect and the quote is lovely, really begins the story your invite has to tell.

The simplicity of this look gives it such a sophisticated voice.  Clean yet romantic are the words that come to mind.  I added very soft blush flowers to the wrap artwork.  LOVE this.

The Vintage Lacy pattern used here is very subtle and when combined with classic shimmering and textured papers, the look is quite stunning.  Hand-painted pink and sage green inks in the pattern shimmers beautifully.  I created a tailored wrap closure for your ensemble folder (holds all invitation components together).

I experimented with my sketchy peony illustration.  Similar papers were used in shades of very soft pink and ivory.

Several invitation ideas for you to consider:

The look here is classic with a subtle use of our signature Lacy Pattern in white.  Color is incorporated subtly with a beveled border.  All paper stock finishes and colors can be customized to suit.

Above is a twist on the classic invite with more bold bouquet style floral artwork motif.  Hand-painted details in creamy ivory really pop against the shimmering champagne cardstock.  Flower illustrations can be customized to suit.

Below our signature Damask pattern envelops a traditional monogram motif at top center.
