A Peek into the Studio – Peacock Feathers and Big Blooms
Peacock feathers are continuing to make a statement here at the studio and we do not see it stopping anytime soon! Shanda chose a gorgeous bouquet style illustration featuring roses, calla lilies , orchids and of course the peacock feather. Richly painted in reds, purples and golds, each illustration’s vibrancy pops beautifully against the shimmering ivory cardstock used throughout her collection. A structured ribbon and patterned paper wrap gives contrast to the otherwise organic artwork look.

Jolie and Jeffrey collaborated with us on their Enchanted Forest inspired version of our Versailles Swirl artwork. A dusty purple Anemone and swirling peacock feathers throughout give this look its lively and stately appearance. I love the unexpected pop of aqua hand painting on each feather in addition to the paper palette of Raw Silk Gold and Oz from Envelopments®!

Susan visioned an ornate and sophisticated look full of color and texture. Every last inch of this invitation was accented with brushstrokes of lavish hand painted color. Layer upon layer of shimmering and opaque inks reveal a wedding invitation that is both painterly and powerful. The size of this look alone at over 6×9 inches certainly makes a statement, not to mention the round rhinestone buckle finished with our signature belt loop closure!

So what am I up to?
Preparing for a fun shoot with Daniel Lanton and The Momental Girls…all for a special project with Flower Magazine!

This color scheme is stunning! It was a bit tricky to ensure the feather remained subtle however I enjoy the look even though the feather is large. The shimmering papers and hand-painted details keep the look elegant and refined but with loads of personality!

This look is much softer I think in style but still bold and dramatic in color palette!
The rich colors and rich art-deco inspired artwork are quite striking and bold but when combined with classically elegant papers, appear more sophisticated somehow.
Oh I do love the color version! I will say that in person, the blue and green border really pops!

The black ribbon tie is the perfect detail!
LOVE the new pattern!
I experimented with a limited palette of gold, crimson and black. I love the scroll work and suggestion of a feather in the bottom right corner. The pattern border adds interest overall and mimics the drawn scroll work nicely.
I love the richness and texture of this piece. The feathers are subtle but impactful.
