Handmade custom invitations & stationery
by Kristy Rice

Last year around this time I was amidst a flurry of plans for our 10 year Renewal.  Flowers were a big question mark especially since my Mom was excited to create arrangements for us.  We literally had no idea where to begin.  I began researching wholesale sources for wedding flowers and stumbled upon FiftyFlowers.com several times.  After a few phone calls and a ton of time choosing blooms we placed our order and the rest is history.  I simply cannot say enough good about this company.  My firsthand experience with their blooms and more importantly their impeccable customer service was […]

In my spare time (wink, wink) I love to work with industry friends.  La Tavola Linen is a company I admire and use often.  Their palette of custom linens can add flavor and life to any event and the fact they ship nationwide means anyone can enjoy the selection.  Recently a new showroom opened in Newport Beach, California and I was brought in to craft a few stationery pieces for their displays.  The best part of these projects is that I get to “play” with the prettiest linen swatches ever! Our lavishly painted peony on champagne stock with La Tavola’s […]

Dorian and Eloise of Central Park Flowers in Olyphant, PA consistently wow me with their artistry.  If I am planning a shoot in PA they are one of the first calls I make.  It is entirely refreshing to work with a fellow artists who just gets you.  A few simple words like “edgy, moody, pops of color” plus a simple sketch are all Dorian and Eloise needed to start creating.  My recent obsession with Scabiosa guided much of the floral and stationery directions as I love the textural yet graceful nature of the bloom. I am sure you have noticed […]

2011 has been good to us so far and we are all feeling incredibly blessed at the studio.  Having the opportunity to already fulfill some of my intentions shared here recently is pure joy.  Michael’s peonies are a painters dream come true.  A simple outline sketch on each thank you note was filled with thick, painterly brushstrokes in soft pink, white and sage shimmer inks. Sara and Eric’s timeline color palette reminds me of sherbet in lime and orange flavors.  The white hand painted touches throughout give the look a fresh feel and give focus to the clean lines of […]

As many of you might remember, the hubby and I renewed our vows last May and followed up with a big celebration bash in Pennsylvania.  Recently the full gallery of images captured by good friend Daniel Lanton was featured on Wedding Chicks!  So now I am thrilled to share some more details from the party! Mom and I spent a solid 12 hours arranging over 15 designs with perfect blooms from 50flowers.com.  From their incredibly personal customer service to fresh flowers delivered on time and as promised, I sing their praises as often as possible.  The moment the 20 boxes […]
