A sophisticated spin on a Starry Night concept is where we began with this hand painted wedding invitation collaboration.  Our couples had a few requests; ultra thick stock, silver foil and intense color but without loosing elegance. {We began with the idea of creating our own, intense stock by painting each with shades of indigo ink.  It was a messy endeavor but so worth it!} After dry, these were sent off to be foil printed. Possibly a favorite detail are the painted edges, but not your typical painted edges.  These edges were detailed on the edge and on the front […]

Hard to believe that Winter is around the corner… yes I know, go ahead and boo me…Nonetheless, Winter weddings offer up their own special sort of inspiration and imagery that I just love.  Secretly I much prefer Winter to Summer – there’s just something about the wintery nights in front of the fireplace I just can’t get enough of!  So cheers today to one of my absolute favorite Winter Wedding Invitation suites. Inspired to create Carey’s Elegant Fall Wedding Invitations…Thoughtful use of color and a tree scene full of personality (we’re adding in their pups) are planned.  Excited to see this design unfold. Riverbend in Kohler Wisconsin, Papers, Bouquet, Vintage Lacy Tree Wedding Invitations, Groomsmen

I pulled two designs from the production table this week first for their wow color and attention grabbing textures.  Two very different approaches to color here, but both equally as impactful. Melanie’s Poppy flower save the date incorporated her love of color and punchy Suzani inspired pattern. Killer combination; delicate blooms and bold pattern… After each was printed, delicate soft pink brushstrokes we added to each peony, against the bold orange cardstock.  So pretty. Next we have Hanieh’s pieces all decked out in muted blush, lavender and champagne. Hanieh loved stripes and watercolor so I created a new pattern featuring […]
