We love letterpress printing AND patterns at Momental, so we jumped at the chance to create these Woodland Patterned Wedding Invitations for Genevieve and Charles. Inspired by nature, our pattern features herons and abundant woodland berries and greens, with a few extra insect friends, too. The thick cotton cardstock and extra-large square shape really make an impression! We even used a reverse white-on-black envelope liner for a little extra visual punch. Bright watercolors really pop against the black and white, but the birds and botanicals are still delicate and whimsical. Kristy’s inspirational pattern and invite from our galleries can be seen […]

A custom designed crest by designsgirl added a touch of elegant structure to our pink peony Watercolor and Letterpress Wedding Invites.  Sounds like a new Momental classic indeed! Alexandra chose to feature our watercolor blooms with layer upon layer of thick white and gold paint, best seen on the statement envelope liner. The enclosure cards were not ignored of course and received their own painting treatment as well.

As we gear up for the relaunch of Momentaldesigns.com next week, with the beta site going live to some on Thursday I’ll be re-posting a few of my favorite projects from the past few years.  Enjoy! You may have heard me speak of my art teacher growing up, Sue Hand.  As a young art student I was hungry for new; I wanted to absorb everything I could about the world of art I knew so little about.  Sue would take myself and others with a blooming interest in all things painting, on day trips across Pennsylvania to visit museums, gardens […]

Last week I shared a peek at our Pastoral shoot for DWHM, then seen on Ruffled.  This week I’m excited to share all of the stationery goodness from the project! Our palette was filled with moody slate, blues, and taupe.  Letterpress printing took center stage against the textured stocks I chose for each of the four suites.  Artwork was inspired by Victorian embroidery alphabets where persnickety detail takes over and swooshes, swirls and leafy sketches reign.  Our imaginary couple was the namesake of Momental Girl Joy’s grandparents.  The first hand painted wedding invitation suite’s mix of red, slate blue and tan […]
