Handmade custom invitations & stationery

If you’ve read my blog for more than 6 months you know that I love to celebrate.  Small, impromptu parties and more involved affairs that take months of planning – I love it all!  My affinity for artful stationery always takes me to one question for clients and myself when beginning a project – “what do you envision your celebration feeling like”.  Celebrations are about feeling; feeling a moment and making it last a bit longer, feeling an environment so strongly it gets burned in your brain forever…this is what I love about throwing parties and crafting celebrations – we […]

Today’s post is as varied as it’s title.  I’m proud everyday of not only the quality of work we create but also the variety.  Early on my art teacher, Sue Hand encouraged me to experiment with many different mediums and techniques.  Her suggestions stuck and to this day, myself and Jessica (my right hand when it comes to creating art at the studio) are nothing if not versatile. Today I have another fun hand painted letterpress project to share!  Menden contacted us with a sweet inspiration board of her own (we love that) to kickstart the design process.  We dove into the process of creating these sweet luggage tag style booklet…Have a look here to see more of her process and how the design changed over time.  A watercolor hand painted ticking stripe was the focus overall with sweet hot air balloon and vintage bicycle illustrations to compliment. Menden wanted to pump up the texture already obvious with the hand painted inks in red, white and blue so […]
