Handmade custom invitations & stationery

Oh my, oh my, oh my!!  This real wedding has my heart with it’s breezy elegance and sophistication paired with wonderful moments of personality.  For the Wedding Invitations, Liz, the Bride was inspired by the magical quality of Chinoiserie patterns.  Birdcages made an appearance…of course. Her Chinoiserie Wedding Invitation featured a gilded frame, colorful birds, select blooms and a whimsical monogram. Table number perfection. The monogram made another appearance on this lovely Sweet & Saucy cake! A close-up of the original artwork created for Liz! I think many of us are wishing the last weeks of winter to make a quiet exit as we happily glide into Spring.  This Winter, at least in Northeastern Pennsylvania has been…for lack of a better word… insane!  Snow after snowstorm has crippled us time after time leaving the white stuff to collect everywhere in towering piles.  But just as winter has gotten on my last nerve I recall our Holiday celebration held in a local private cabin.  So let’s let Winter linger for just a few more minutes and soak up the warmth and coziness it brings as we […]

Earlier this week a sweet shoot we participated in was featured on Wedluxe.com.  If you haven’t read the Wedluxe blog or flipped the pages of their print magazine….please do.  This publication, based in Canada features some of the most artful, inspired and lavish celebrations.  Each issue is bursting with fresh ideas and tons of inspiring content! The inspiration here was all about illustration and tattoo inspired imagery.  Our Bride even had body art as a focal point to her wedding day look.  Love it!  Pink Cherry Blossoms were chosen for this Wedding Invitation suite  to conjure the vibe of classic […]

It has been a long winter and that says a lot coming from someone who typically loves cold weather.  Don’t get me wrong, I try to see the beauty in all God gives us but sometimes the muddy snow on the side of the street is just plain uninspiring.  Over the years I’ve learned to surround myself with simple things that lift me up.  The past few weeks I’ve been making regular visits to the market to get a little Spring in my home.  Even simple roses are enough to lift my spirits and pull me out of the winter […]

As we sit here with the freezing wind blowing outside I desperately needed a breath of fresh air…a reminder of all things Spring to come.  So here we have it.  A few years back I created a collection of wedding invitation suites inspired by the seasons.  This Watercolor Leaf invitation suite was my homage to Spring.  I chose a monochromatic palette of strong greens and hand painted every piece…no printed watercolor finishes here…not a chance. Jill and Ryan from With Love and Embers brought such emotion to each image and somehow were able to capture the spirit in each.  One […]
