Behind the Scenes – Marjan and Ryan in Inside Weddings Fall 2011
Last month we were honored to have our work featured twice in the Fall Edition of Inside Weddings Magazine. Have a look here to see our invitation feature and read on for more on our real wedding editorial!
Luxurious romance and high style were the cornerstones of this lavish affair. Marjan has distinctive taste and knew just the team to execute the vision with her. The ladies of Always a Bridesmaid are legendary in the industry so we were honored to work with them! So prepare yourself for every last juicy detail photographed by Heather Waraksa.
What struck me most about this wedding were the elegant portraits captured. Choosing my favorites to feature was a challenge. Moody poses and stylish stances all with a backdrop of the stunning NYIT de Seversky Mansion captivated me at every glance.

Who can resist a Christian Louboutin shoe shot? I adore Marjan’s little sparkly secret just peeking out from her Ines de Santo gown.

The first look…

Marjan and Ryan fell in love with our Signature Versailles Swirl Wedding Invitation Collection and chose a sophisticated palette of pink, peach, blush and eggplant. The watercolor textures brought in subtle hints of raspberry red for a punch of surprise color! With every swoosh and swirl, we tried to capture and communicate the spirit of the coming event. Here elegance and refinement mixed with whimsy and fun.

Composition is key with these portraits caught by Heather’s masterful eye.

The coral walls of the library in these shots adds flaire and fab to otherwise classic poses.

Decor evolved a bit for the ceremony space. A light an airy environment filled with cherry blossom blooms set the stage for a serene exchange of vows. Our hand painted cherry blossoms adorned the Custom Ceremony Programs printed on blush shimmer stock.

What a thrill to be a part of this talented team!

A Peek into the Studio – Chandeliers, Hydrangeas and Bougainvillea
The studio is bustling with ideas and projects this time of year. We love the variety of mid-summer, everything from blooms and feathers to venue sketches and snowflakes are on the painting table! I pulled a few favorites from the last week to share. First up is Alyssa’s cheerful and elegant day-of accessories. Custom wedding programs, wedding seating cards and handmade wedding table number cards all coordinated in shades of pink, gold and blush!

Samantha’s lush and whimsical blooms are perfectly balanced in shades of blue, lavender and periwinkle. We adore the combination of poppies and hydrangeas with Envelopments iconic Repousse pattern in Dove. A sweet art tag embellishment for her Pocketfold presents the look as a mindful gift to each guest.

Lastly, but least in no way are Jason and Anne’s SKETCHED Save the Dates. A breezy drawing of the venue in Acalpulco, Mexico complete with crawling Bougainvillia blooms creates casual drama with every brushstroke.

A Peek into the Studio – Pretty, Pretty Programs!
Just a quick peek at programs for Ali! Ali has been with us since save the dates and is quite possibly the most decisive bride we’ve known! Her look stayed focused and clean from day one. There is definitely something to be said for a tiny bit of tunnel vision in wedding planning. With so much inspiration out there it can become difficult to stay focused on your instincts. When you do, like Ali, the results can be breathtaking!! Have a look at how Ali’s design processed unfolded here and enjoy some close-up views of her pretty tri-fold painted programs!

So fun!

I love the added vibrancy the new fuchsia layer gives!

We created a silhouette of your gate and stylized with a touch of lacy pattern to give us a place to add some hand painted color. The large, watercolor rose with painted dots mimic the gold and ivory linen shimmer border from Envelopments®. LOVE this!

I experimented with a slightly oversized Sculpted Bloom to resemble a rose. I thought an illustration of the Turnip Rose venue could be stunning on your reception card to really tell your story!

A Peek into the Studio – Buckles, Swirls and Rhinestones
Melissa is getting married this coming weekend and the Momental Girls could not be more thrilled. We will miss her sense of style and kind words as she has been a pure joy to work with over the last few months. Her invitations were epic, in my opinion at least! From gorgeous silk textures to heavily painted swirls, the finished look is still talked about at the studio and by the couple’s guests. That feels good to say the least. When Melissa came back to me for her day-of accessories, I was truly honored and admittedly crazy excited to revisit her design!

Each group of petals was adorned with a tiny rhinestone buckle and a long length of satin ribbon. Painted swirls and dots in shades of ivory and gold add to the vintage look with their imperfect yet lovely application.

Menus will peek out from a folded napkin at each place setting. Melissa’s linens, table tops and chair covers are all custom designed exclusively for her event so each element was designed to compliment perfectly.

These simple table numbers encrusted with individual rhinestones were crafted with hand painted wooden sticks to perch on a flower display.
So what am I up to?
Just wrapped on a top secret project with some favorite people in the industry.
Looking forward to seeing old and new friends in just under 3 weeks at Engage10 in The Breakers!
Feeling incredibly uplifted by Lara Casey’s Posts lately and and waiting rather impatiently for V3 to hit newsstands!
