A Peek into the Studio – Hand Painted, Engraved, Orchid Wedding Invitations

Been dying to share this with you!  We’re honored to be working with Aimee from Tropical Occasions on Kris and James’s luxe wedding invitation design.  We began with an engraved look; white on black stock.  Then the hand painting began.  Layer after layer of fuchsia, medium pink and sheer white inks created a cluster of orchids on each invitation that is sure to stop everyone in their tracks.  Literally each is a unique painting with as much flourish, style and grace as a wall-worthy piece.

Now I don’t want to give too much away but the presentation of this ensemble has a bold edge too.  Timeline, travel, response and accommodations cards boast a monochromatic Envelopments paper palette ranging from the blingy-est of fuchsia to rich and sultry pink and amber tones.

Moya Minns created a Momental Exclusive script for this project and yes that is correct, this beauty will only be available here!

Each invite boasts over 200 brushstrokes, dots and flourishes…

We’ll be tying this all up with hand watercolored silk dupioni ribbon…enough said.

Of course there is bling… glitzy iridescent rhinestone buckles.  Oh yes.
