Talavera Pottery Inspired Wedding Invitations
Lovely chat with Maricelle today has me literally giddy about design. Mexican Talavera Pottery is at the heart of what makes Maricelle visual tastebuds tick! Whimsical pattern in vibrant earth tones mix with watercolor-esque glazing techniques to create an iconic look that is so very recognizable. I’ll be creating a Momental interpretation of Talavera paired with bountiful roses and white Cattleya orchids!

A Peek into the Studio – Hydrangeas, Garden Roses and Vintage Frames
Happy Birthday to me! Feeling like I’m surrounded by the prettiest presents ever today since The Momental Girls have been painting their hearts out this week! Seriously though, I am feeling quite blessed today especially as l look around the room and dig into photos from our most recent projects. We have come a long way and still have so much good ahead. I’m proud to see what we have created from the smallest moment of art to the biggest triumphs each season seems to bring. Thank you ladies for being part of my life and making gorgeous art for our Brides. XOXO
Now onto the art!! Julie’s Garden inspired Big Bloom Wedding Invitations featured pink lilacs and white hydrangeas in a lavish frame around her classic wording layout. Her venue sketched simply at the top added a sweet personal touch we adore. One of our favorites papers from Envelopments was used here, soft and shimmery Sea Shell.

Katie and I painted for the better part of yesterday. Every square inch of of this big and bold seating plan was hand painted right down to each guests’ hand written name! We are over the moon with each chalky pastel bloom!

Euna‘s table numbers were a blast to paint with each ruffly petaled bloom. The best part? The beauties were painted on glass and we can hardly wait to see them on each celebration table!

I picked up these custom teak buttons on Etsy last week. Nikki and Jess painted away tiny succulents on each! More on how we used these lovelies soon!

Lastly but not at all least are Fabiola‘s Vintage Frame Painted Peony Wedding Invitations! Sea Shell paper is used again in all its textured loveliness paired with gold hand painted details and bold pink brushstrokes on each peony.

So what am I up to?
RSVP’ing to Bridal Market invitations, I can hardly wait to see all the gorgeous gowns live!
Wrapping up a stunning collection for my friends at Celebrations and shipping it to Grand Cayman later this week!

A Peek into the Studio – Polka Dots, Painted Stripes and Coral
I have a fun peek into the studio for you today! Polka dots are a favorite, so when Envelopments launched their Swiss Dot Collection we were in love! Jennifer was too, hence the gorgeous ensemble designed around dots. She chose our Austin Bouquet artwork from the Painted Blooms Collection and combined with custom elements from of Versailles Swirl.

Of course we completed the look with our signature hand painted dots. Another of our favorite patterns from Envelopments made an appearance here. Magnolia Repousse complimented our hand work perfectly.
Briana’s sweet little favor tags were painted in white. Clean lines of the sketched coral paired with a simple painting technique created a rich look that didn’t take itself too seriously.

Lisa and Carlo’s personality were just as chill as their very chic save the dates. Matte and shimmer finishes mingled with a custom watercolor painting of the Bermuda coastline while a free hand painted bellyband mimicked the look of waves and ocean spray.

So what am I up to?

A Real Momental Wedding – Lauren and Maarten July 3, 2010 Part II
Earlier this week I shared Lauren and Maarten’s wedding images as seen in the Fall/Winter The Knot, Ohio issue! Today I am bringing you images not seen in the magazine and more on the hand painted wedding invitations! Lauren’s wedding was highly inspired by her Watters gown.

A stunning closeup of this classic bouquet in shades of white and the softest of pinks. Envelopments coral, magnolia and ecru were used throughout.

Awe-inspiring ceremony. Love those baby blue walls!
The ceremony space warms subtly with richer tones of gold and pink…

How sweet!

We drew a heavily petaled Camellia blooms for this project on Style Me Pretty and Lauren fell in love!
