Making art is about taking a journey.  This shoot, has had quite the journey over the last two years and to that end…yes, making art requires unrelenting patience.  Two years ago we traveled to Southern Utah, with two of the most inspiring photographers I’ve had the pleasure to know.  With a common vision and shared passion we embarked on a journey to express all the creative energy bubbling up inside of us.  Sepia had long been an inspirational concept for me artistically and I wanted to somehow translate it into a tangible moment. All began with this Pinterest board, where […]

We’re so honored to have been part of the cover shoot for Munaluchi Bride Magazine.  The ladies behind this publication have fierce spirits and some amazing ideas to back up up that fire.  They’ve created a platform for brides of color craving the utmost in style and culture.  This cover shoot had its home at The Villa at Sunstone Winery which Elizabeth Messina captured effortlessly in all its light filled glory.  Look on for more. We created an abstract interpretation of the hand painted wedding invitation.  Peonies became clean, controlled brushstrokes of color with a focus on shape and fanciful […]

The Abbey […]

I was brought in to design stationery for the Tribal Shoot and, how can I forget, these incredible hand chalked paper […]

So maybe your visit to the blog today is a first or perhaps one of many…to both I say thank you, thank you.  Writing this blog is a sort of catharsis for me and a way to journal the studio happenings but in a personal way.  I write this blog, no one else.  The words are all mine, however imperfect and sometimes typo filled they may be – they are mine. This studio, where we paint our days away until our fingers ache was built from literally nothing but a dream at a dining room table.  Tremendous heart and a […]
