A Peek into the Studio – Artistic Blind Letterpress, Foil Wedding Invitations

I’m enchanted – not in the princess, girly way, but in the way you might be smitten with the blue of the sky one morning or the way fresh cut grass smells on a Sunday. A Blind Letterpress and Foil combination for Wedding Invitations

Heather’s design process to reach the end that is this invitation suite, began far from what you see here.  Heather began with bolder watercolor flowers, tons of color and detailed embellishments…

{suddenly one day, she came into her design aesthetic, meaning, she realized that subtlety was her jam}

Don’t get me wrong, I love a visually full and lush design, layering of patterns and bold color but just like anything in life, balance is key.

{So we happily embarked on a new design path, destined to discover a more subdued, whisper of a design…}

So look on friends, soak in the blind letterpress impression of this delicate pattern that was initially hand drawn.  The lettepress impression captured the slight texture of our pencil’s mark…Delicate, petite blooms appeared here and there, mingled with graceful, sweeping swirls.

Look closely…oh how I with you could touch this surface. We added soft white acrylic painted moments on each, about 50 brushstrokes on each and every invitation.

Classic gold foil printing for the text…oh my joy.
