The Well Wishing Guestbook

 Are you looking for a way to personalize your wedding reception?   Do you want to surprise your guests and give them a chance to offer advice and kind words without having to wait in line to sign a traditional guestbook?

The Well Wishing Guestbook has gained popularity recently as a unique approach to the traditional guestbook.  The Well Wishing guestbook is a simple concept that can have impressive results to be enjoyed for years to come!  Here are some ideas:

1.Reception Entrance Guestbook - Place a large glass jar and a custom printed instruction card at the entrance to your reception.     An example of Well Wishing wording might be: “Please take a moment to offer your kind words or advice to Marissa and Kevin.  Place your card in an envelope and toss in the glass jar!  Marissa and Kevin look forward to reading two cards each year on their anniversary.” 

 - To further personalize your guestbook look for a piece of antique glassware to use as your container.  Vintage Milk Glass is both lovely and affordable. Pieces are available in gorgeous shades of white, pink, blue and green.

Coordinate your guestbook accessories with table number cards and favor tags or wraps. 

2.Reception Table Guestbook - Another option for The Well Wishing guestbook is to take the idea from the reception entrance to each reception table.  Custom printed instruction cards (at least 2 per table) and well wishing cards are present at each reception table along with a small container for card collection.  With this option guests feel more relaxed in their seats and often take more time to collect their thoughts.  An example for the instruction card wording: “Please take some time to offer your thoughts to Marissa and Kevin.  They look forward to reading your kind words.  Be sure to place your completed card in the glass bowl!”

- The custom printed instruction cards and well wishing cards offer another opportunity to unify your wedding stationery selections.  Ask your stationery designer to create a tag or wrap to fit your bowl or jar used to collect the well wishing cards.  Table number cards, seating charts and favor tags can also be created to coordinate with your color scheme and theme.

Consider coordinating your guestbook accessories with items such as menu cards, favor tags and table number cards.
