A Real Momental Wedding – Lauren and Maarten July 3, 2010 Part I

Lauren and Maarten’s pretty in pink wedding was recently featured in The Knot, Ohio.  Planned by the lovely Kasey of Bliss Weddings and Events, this celebration went off without a hitch and in stunning style.  I interviewed Kasey to get the planner’s perspective:

What was Lauren’s single most impactful design element in planning?  Why?
The single most impactful design element in the planning would have to be Lauren’s gorgeous Watter’s dress.  She wanted something a little different, but romantic and soft.  The blooms on her dress were one of my most favorite elements of detail on the dress and we used that element in so many places – her invitations, the cake, and the linens.

Tell us a bit more about Lauren’s color palette and inspiration for the event.
Our inspiration came from Lauren.  She said all throughout the planning and design process she wanted something romantic, soft and blush pink.  We were so lucky that she trusted us to take those 3 elements and run with them.  We selected a palette of blush pink, khaki, gold, ivory and a touch of raspberry for depth in the colors.  Her favorite descriptive word that she used over and over again was romantic.  She wanted soft lighting, lots of candles and lots of soft ruffled flowers.
