Today I’m back with more from our Runway to Reality story for Occasions Magazine!  To get caught up you may want to take a look here and then here!  The Genevieve gown from Claire Pettibone was pure inspiration here.  Being drawn to the frocks classic lines and medallion-like elements I began to develop the details for stationery and beyond.  Soft shades of amber were my cue to infuse color into the scene.

Amy Osaba was at is again and designed this look atop a brass candlestick…oh my pretty.  These bright caramel hued roses were so lush – definitely a favorite.  You’ll see them make an appearance again with the stationery!

Tabletop was filled with vintage china from Four Inch Fold and diagonal pintucked textiles from I Do Linens.  Here we get a peek into the slightly baroque inspired stationery…

Ornate gold framing with lavishly painted white blooms made quite the sumptuous statement here.  Rich blush cardstocks shimmered beautifully against the matte paint finish.  You could feel every brushstroke.

Various frame illustrations made appearances throughout the suite, reminiscent of the details on the Genevieve gown where ornate medallions filled with scrolling textures.   LOVED the hand cut place cards.  A diagonal painted stripe repeated across the surface creating an unmistakably hand painted look!

Another frame element was designed to greet guests as they pull the ensemble from the envelope, all tied up with ivory velvet.  Sweet surprises are paramount in Claire’s gown designs.  Unexpected textures against traditional fabrics or small embroidered moments in unlikely places are just a few of the details that inspired me to infuse similar into the paperie.
