Handmade custom invitations & stationery

With our annual Holiday party for friends and family coming up this Saturday I thought it perfect to share the custom invitation sent to guests!  Abu and Spice are the two newest additions to our family, adopted from Best Friends in Utah!  I created simple sketches of each pup and combined with a classic script font and paisley pattern.  Silly and sweet and just the perfect amount of whimsy for our yearly celebration!

I always say a messy painting table means only one thing…good things are happening.  Let’s just say the Painting table has been messy for quite some time.  Our handmade wedding invitations are a smattering of ideas and sketches, paint drips and Muddy Brushes that meld to create stunning results that reflect each couple we have the honor of collaborating with.  Ella’s heavily detailed design is a perfect example of the combination of elements brought together to elicit  paper design that sings of personality and an unmistakable sense of hand. Earlier this week I shared the 2010 Momental Gift Guide and today after swooning the entire week decided to create an invitation inspired by this lovely bag by one of my favs, Kate Spade.  Iconic shapes, delicate patterns, unexpected materials and saturated color use are hallmarks of this fashion icon’s designs.  Who wouldn’t be inspired? My interpretation of the Candy Darling bag includes Envelopments Ecru Swiss dot pattern stock, wax paper and a gold beading.
