A Peek into the Studio – Watercolor Roses and Lacy Blooms

This week’s production table was full of watercolor textures and dramatic color palettes.  Christina planned a perfectly sophisticated 40th Anniversary celebration for her parents with my watercolor scarlett roses as each guest’s first glimpse into the event to come .  The look is meant to be graceful, elegant and bold.  Each rose was flooded with juicy, red watercolor while gold shimmery inks filled the leaves with glistening color.

Nicole contacted me several months ago after seeing her friend Denise’s stationery.  Her palette immediately drew me in and peaked my curiosity.  Gold, intense purple and orange all played a part in Nicole’s spirited color palette.  She chose our signature Lacy pattern with hand painted dots throughout.

A simple tag closure was crafted and the quote told a bit of their love story in a subtle way.  The tag was modeled after a fortune cookie the couple found exactly 3 years before their wedding date.  “A new relationship is about to blossom.  You will be blessed.” Perfect.

So what am I up to?

Still obsessing over Amy and Seth’s wedding by Amy Osaba.   Seriously, the bouquets will blow you away in their impactful simplicity.

Finally planning a shoot I have been dreaming about for over a year.  Excited  to see how Jimmy from Gideon Photography brings my vision to life.

Working on a little something that combines my love for this and this.  Should be interesting.

I combined shades of aqua, red and tan.  The painting on the sock monkey really pops against the tan cardstock!

Decisions, decisions!

This version is so much more vibrant!  We added an additional border for more color!

The added detail and shading on the pups seems to really bring them to life!

The pups are just so cute!

The neutral version of this look is so striking!

I experimented with the amaryllis bloom and a blue and tan wintery palette!  Also found the sweetest little white bloom charms!

Love seeing this come together!

S-O-O cute!!!

Love the ecru vs. white and the charm is sooo perfect!

The new pattern for your invitation is lively and elegant at the same time.  I incorporated a bit of gold to give the purple palette added richness!

My Story is Art – Church Shot by Elizabeth Messina

I stumbled upon this wedding yesterday on Style Me Pretty.  Nestled deep in the galleries was this perfect shot.  I want to be there.
