So striking!  How gorgeous would coordinating seating cards be?!

The textured border adds a lovely classic flair.

Oh this getting fun!

We had such fun creating this sample.  I love the subtle reference to a nautical theme with the rope medallion.  The watercolor painted border also has a subtle stripe reference that seems just perfect here!

The white shimmer really brightens the look well!

This look is beyond rich and dramatic, so gorgeous!  I love how the venue artwork hints to the overall color palette!

A Real Momental Wedding – Sheri and Tom’s Yosemite Wedding Part II

I heard from Sheri yesterday and she said “looking at these photos makes me want to get married all over again.”  I love that.

Gorgeous room at The Ahwahnee Hotel.

Awaiting some professional shots from Patrick Pike, my snapshots of the seating card and cones will have to do!  This shimmery bark-like paper appeared throughout Sheri’s stationery collection.  It’s subtle hint of eggplant hues and rustic texture added the perfect detail to each piece.

Thank you Sheri for trusting us to create your stationery.  It was truly a pleasure to create your vision on paper!

A Real Momental Wedding – Sheri and Tom’s Yosemite Wedding Part I

When Patrick Pike sent me a sneak peek at client Sheri’s Yosemite Wedding I was floored.  Having visited and painted in Yosemite countless times I was eagerly anticipating a look at Sheri’s wedding to see how the majesty of this place posed as a backdrop for her day.  Really few words are necessary so I will keep it short and sweet!

Gorgeous Sheri, The Ahwahnee Hotel and oh what a shoe shot…look at that light!

Sheri (an avid reader of my blog) found Paloma’s Nest pieces on my site and just had to have her newest Heirloom Packaging…can you blame her?

Sheri’s invitation featured a watercolor tree and illustration of Yosemite Chapel.

Check back tomorrow for more!

A Peek into the Studio – Orchid Weddings

This week is all about orchids.  Similar artwork is used in both designs but wow difference a few colors and brushstrokes can make!

It took me some time to craft a wy to bring all these elements together BUT I think the result is bold yet elegant, artistic and not too over the top!  I had such fun with this sample!
