I love the softness that the yellow flowers bring to the look.
I created a quick inspiration board to incorporate your newest sample. I envisioned a light filled, hazy sunset with all the golden colors coming alive! Fresh poppies are painted in the field to give a nice splash of red!
I stayed quite neutral with the paper choices but really added a variety of colors in the tree. Loving the sunflowers at the base of the tree!

The pattern in this version is actually more uniform and clear – lovely!
I think this version is the perfect combination of the two! I intensified the color a bit in the illustration to really help the venue pop!
The focus here is more on the illustration – what a gorgeous place!

Happy Holidays from The Momental Girls!
So, we are off for a few days of rest and fun with our families. I wanted to take a moment to wish The Momental Girls a very Merry Christmas with their families. You all deserve a break after the crazy spectacular, wild ride of a year we had! So if you are reading this Jess, Kelley, Steph, Jaime or Joy…stop it, log off now and make a cup of hot chocolate.
To everyone who has been along for the ride this year, I thank you too. Thank you for your kind words and unending support. To The Momental Brides, you are all gems and your creativity blows us away daily. It is a privilege and honor to collaborate with you.
Until next week I leave you with some fun shots from our annual Holiday party two weeks ago. The hubby and I created our very own photobooth and as you can see – it was a hit!
Check out our Smitten Sticks in action – too funny!

Artful Admirations – Daniel Lanton and Central Park Flowers
I have been waiting patiently to share this shoot with you in addition to two of my favorite wedding artists whose work I enjoy endlessly. So this is how the story goes…
Last year while searching for a makeup artist in my region I stumbled upon the website of Daniel Lanton. His hauntingly beautiful images jumped from the screen and I instantly felt as if I had found a kindred spirit. All of this, I derived from seeing just a few of his photos.
I immediately hired Daniel to capture shots of myself and The Momental Girls last June and then again in August. His style is dramatic and edgy with a vintage edge and intense sense of color.
In October Daniel and I had the chance to truly collaborate as artists. After spending a day away from the studio I visioned a crazy idea to lead my very own tabletop shoot. A call to Daniel was the very next step and the rest was history. Take a look here, here, here and here for more on our shoot.
Enter Central Park Flowers…. I first met Dorian at a wedding show and the timing could not have been more perfect. I was searching for a floral artist to collaborate on my shoot and after seeing Dorian’s work, I knew he was the perfect choice.
Recently Daniel and Dorian came together to produce the loveliness below. The snow IS real, the vision is breathtaking, the results…enchanting.
Daniel and Dorian, thank you for your artistry and vision. I am priveleged to know you as artists and honored to work with you as friends.

I have another lovely inspiration board to share from Chrissy at The Perfect Palette! Excitement always overtakes when I receive an email or Tweet from Chrissy. It is such fun to see my invitation designs as part of one of her boards. The “Do You Hear What I Hear?” board is all about soft pinks and golds, shimmering with the warmth of the season. Thanks Chrissy for including me!
