Inspired Ink – Creating more contrast!

To follow up on an Inspired Ink {Creating some contrast} post from several weeks ago I wanted to share several designs so new the paint is still drying on those orchids! Since creating the first contrast piece for Claire earlier this year brides have been ultra inspired by her rich shimmering paper finishes and lush opaque hand-painted brushstrokes of color.
I am continually inspired by the dramatic contrast Amelia Lyon creates with her photography. This shot lovingly borrowed from her main site has me thinking – dainty African violet blooms or Picasso callas on crisp aqua blue cardstock….hmm I feel another inspired ink coming soon!

Well Said – Como é grande o meu amor por você
Several bride’s have asked – what does the quote on Aline’s invitation mean?
The answer – thanks to Google translator:
“How great my love for you”
Simple and to the point…
If you follow me on Twitter you may know that the answer to most questions is just 140 characters away! Here are some translations I received this past Saturday from my Twitter friends.
If you have a better translation – please let us know!

An Artful Life – new look, new logo!
For the past several weeks I have been working feverishly on a new logo for Momental Designs. It has proven to be a big undertaking to design something for myself. As most designers will tell you it is extremely difficult to conceive personal design work with a good amount of objectivity. I must admit to assist in the perspective portion of this process I have enlisted the professional opinion of Heidi from Spitfiregirl Design. She is the fab designer of the wildly popular Style Me Pretty Logo and Blogsite and the soon to be fabulous new Momental site! So to help in this process I thought I would ask your opinion of the various logo versions I have been working on.
Would love to hear what you think!![]()

I so enjoy seeing your collection come together!
This color combination is quite inviting and clean. I felt the need for an additional border for a bit more structure. Thoughts?

The added color in this design is just perfect!
The artwork combines beautifully with the new pattern – so pretty!
This would be a difficult decision for me but I am excited about the bit of pink hand-painting in the Vintage Lacy Invitation version!

I love the unexpected pop of lavender on the tag!
Decisions, decisions!
I put together an inspiration board featuring your newest invitation samples! I created a custom watercolor tree to give that magical, enchanted forest look you mentioned. The painted details are lavish throughout in shades of ivory lavender, fuchsia, aqua and soft gold. The dragonfly tag is a fun ensemble folder embellishment I envisioned.

We are so excited to see accessories come to life in your artwork collection!
Sample on the left is a soft white shimmer printed layer and the sample on the right is the non-shimmer natural cardstock!
I LOVE the navy border – gorgeous contrast!
