For those of you who have been awaiting the announcement of the source of our recent national press, it came as quite a surprise; even to us. I received a phone call from one of my current brides from California telling me how excited she was to see one my invites within the pages of The Knot 2009 Spring/Summer Edition. I have known for sometime now to anticipate the inclusion in The Knot New Jersey, so I was a bit perplexed how a bride in California would have her hands on a New Jersey edition. For a moment I thought “could I possibly be in the national issue of The Knot?”. With back to back appointments all day, I sent the Hubby out buy several copies, only to return with it opened to page 50 revealing a large, quarter page, image of the Momental Designs Signature Vintage Lacy Tree Design in all its glory.
How sweet it was to taste success as the past six years of hard work have paid off for millions of people to see, all on page 50. If that was not good enough, the Hubby returned with a beautiful arrangement of flowers that resulted in me shedding a few tears in front of a prospective client. It has truly been a magnificent journey over the past six years, as I have had the pleasure of working with so many brides who chose me and my team to be the artists creating the stationery to announce the most special day of their lives.
How it Happened
Like many clients, Jenna fell in love with the Vintage Lacy Tree Collection and selected a color palette of crisp white, cool turquoise, and soft sage to compliment her Kentucky Derby inspired event. Choosing to customize her stationery, spring flowers in fuchsia and aqua with fluttering dragonfly made the invitation exclusively Jenna’s design.
After the honeymoon, as so many brides do, Jenna submitted her wedding information and photographs to The Knot, hoping to be featured in the magazine. It truly means so much to this artist turned stationery designer. Be sure to check out Jenna’s amazing wedding – everything from her lovely cake to the hand-painted welcome sign – so fun!
I would like to send along a sincere thank you to Bridal Inquirer for nominating my blog for this award. Being recognized as a blogger with Great Attitude/Gratitude is quite a compliment. With so many bloggers out there, it is nice to know that someone truly enjoys my blog. Thank you for you thoughtfulness.
So now it is my turn to pass on the kindness and nominate 10 blogs that I believe demonstrate Great Attitude/Gratitude…
This is how it works:
1. Put the logo on your blog or post.
2. Nominate at least 10 blogs which show GREAT ATTITUDE and/or GRATITUDE!
3. Be sure to link to your nominees within your post.
4. Let them know that they have received this award by commenting on their blog.
5. Share the love and link to this post and to the person from whom you received the award.

It all started with an announcement on my favorite social networking tool, Twitter . A simple request for some items to be included in the Southern Weddings Swag Bags for the magazine Launch Party became a way for us to help the SW Gals celebrate their successes. Being that the Momental Team is in the business of helping people celebrate, it sounded like a perfect task for us.
I would like to send my sincere thanks to Laura for inviting Momental Designs to be of assistance with the celebration and for the very personal thank you note signed by all the SW gals – such a sincere touch.
In addition to picking up the premiere edition of the magazine, please check out the Southern Weddings blog, where it all started, to see the photographs of the party and read all about the fun!
I wanted to take several posts this week to fill you in on some exciting things happening here at the studio. While I don’t want to brag I do have to say we have been blessed to receive some praise and press recently and that makes us quite proud!
Our Vintage Lacy Pattern works well to compliment the fabric swatch sent!
I love the champagne and aqua combination – very sophisticated.
We had a blast today at the Studio. Days like this make me laugh out loud, cherish every moment and feel unbelievably blessed to be making art with these great designers I call friends.
Sample Friday always makes for a bit of a mess in the production room as we sort through endless paper options, mix custom ink colors and hand-trim each card. This week was no exception. Take a look at our mixing table – it is now 7:45 and the samples process is winding down but I am left with a huge smile on my face, nearly 15 new design samples and a genuine excitement for what is to come tomorrow – not to mention a bit of an artistic mess to tidy!
I post photos of new designs weekly – check here tomorrow to see more!
About two weeks ago I was presented with the opportunity to contribute to the Southern Wedding Lauch Party Swag Bags. Of course the Momental Team was thrilled to go to work creating our Vintage Lace notes to be included in the bags. Choosing a color palette of pale blue, pool, and fuchsia, the note cards turned out to be a favorite accessory of attendee and blogger, Jessica Miller of the popular blog Budget Savvy Bride
I would like to send my sincere thanks to Jessica for mentioning Momental Designs in her blog. Any bride that has been bitten by the blogging bug, should definitely check out the Budget Savvy Bride. Reading Jessica’s blog is like talking to one of your best girlfriends over coffee as you celebrate her bridal successes and root for her when things get tough. Fellow brides can get some great tips as they follow her wedding planning journey as she creates the wedding of her dreams, without creating a nightmare of a bank account.
