The Knot, New Jersey – I’m a bit excited!
I received an email from one of my past brides this Monday. The subject was “Guess What”. Well, I just couldn’t even imagine what bride from this past March could have to tell my in July but Iwas super curious. Jessie was a wonderful bride to work with; super creative and all about invitations. She often would send notes after the invites went out to tell me about another compliment or comment she received.
Well, Jessie emailed me this past Monday to let me know her wedding had been choosen as a feature for an upcoming spread in The Knot, New Jersey magazine. Well I just about fell out of my chair when she continued on to inform me that the invites may score a mention in the feature since she felt they had such meaning and presence. Jessie asked me to put her feelings about the invites into words to pass along to the editors of The Knot. We spent a while on the phone reminiscing about the invitation design and her experience with Momental and this morning I forwarded Jessie a write up inspired by our converstation.
While I am ecstatic at the possibility of being part of a magazine feature, I have to say I am even more pleased that my invitation design made such an impression on the bride and her guests. I love it when I hear from brides months later, perhaps to design baby announcements or even just for a quick hello. I design invitations, yes, but I think I also make connections with people and that means a lot to me.
