Be different, take a chance, do the unexpected!

Today I completed a funky yet elegant invitation design for a late December bride. I loved working with this bride as she had a fun approach to color. She wanted a winter feel to her invites but without being too over the top “holiday”. When she presented me with her colors I was a bit suprised….I thought to myself “how can I possibly make these typically spring shades fitting for a winter wedding?” With a creative eye and a very trusting bride I went wild and brought a blustery, cool feel to this spring motif!

I also began work on another project with a creative approach to color. We are still seeing a lot of pink and brown, but this bride wanted to introduce red into the scheme. I love this look and how edgy and fun it appears while still elegant and upscale. The finished look will feature a dark chocolate border for a nice pop of contrast!

So I say, lets not be afraid of color girls, lets think outside the box and come up with something fresh and fantastic!

I created hanging seating cards for this reception. Coordinating table numbers and favor tags finished the look. I posted late in September about this bride and the butterfly homage to her father…It was so wonderful to see these details come together finally!

I set up on loction at The Highlands, Dallas PA. Notheast PA brides, you need to consider this location for your reception!

Returning to PA for your wedding? – give Bob a call to set up an appointment!

I arrived 4 hours before the wedding and everything was perfect, the staff was kind and caring and no detail was overlooked! Not to mention, the upscale rustic setting and impeccable decor is perfect for your elegant reception.

These pumpkins were carved by hand for September reception centerpieces. Tealights were inside so the leaves glowed in the dimly lit room.

It has been over a month since I have posted….The Card Lady has been crazy busy with the most fun fall projects. I have been collecting my post ideas all this time and couldn’t decide what to chat about first….so I decided to post a selection of photos of work I have been creating over the last month!
