When was the last time your name was on someone else’s invite?
Today I shipped a rather large order to Ireland. Now this is not my first international order, but this is the first order where I printed the guests’ first name on each invite!
We have all received an invitation with our names on the inner envelope – pretty standard, right? After working on this design for several weeks I learned that in Ireland it is customary to personally address the invitation, not just the envelope, to each guest. You will notice in the photo that Lorna and Fergal “would love Emer and Stephen to join in celebrating” their marriage.
At first I thought this was quite strange, but as I proceeded with the these wrap invitations, my mind changed. I think this approach is extremely personal and intimate and really would make the guest feel part of the celebration. What do you think???

Dooney’s Giraffe – Oh what an Inspiration!
I am completely in love with Dooney and Bourke’s new Giraffe print bag. It is so graphic, but without being too harsh. An oh so perfect silver key fob with a punch of turquiose completes the color story of this amazing bag.
I know you are wondering …why is she so excited about a purse. Well first, I have to admit that I am addicted to pricey bags…it is really a guilty sin of mine, I can’t help it! Second, I am and have been inspired by these colors in the past, just take a look above and you will see what I mean.
Chocolate and all shades of blue have been such a trend over the last year, so I get really excited when I see a fresh and bold interpretation of the look.

Lily Fans
I am finishing up these lovely fans this week. The wedding is Saturday and the bride wants to make sure her guests keep cool. These will do the trick, besides being very pretty these bad boys really keep the wind moving! I always add a bit of ribbon detail to my fans – it just gives each that certain something…
The inspiration for these lillies began of course with the large pink lillies so commonly found in many wedding floral arrangements. I wanted however to create something softer, more subtle – thus my pink lily was born.

Check out my Studio!
I just took some shots of my new studio! Take a look!
My studio space was becoming very, well lets say industrial and utilitarian. I needed some pretty and some COLOR! I spend at least 40 hours a week in here so I need some visual inspiration in my space!
Thanks to my hubby, Adam for helping me bring it all together. He is such a good guy, always there to lend a hand!

Shimmering Leaves
Just back from a weekend in Cape May, NJ and I have to admit I am the color of these fall invites – yikes!
Had a blast but now back to work, but I am still having a blast with these super rich, fall tri-fold invites. Each and every falling leaf is outlined in a soft sophisticated gold for an ooh so perfect fall glistening motif!
This design was very time consuming, but so very worth it!

Fall Wraps
It has been quite a busy summer at the studio. I did get to take a quick vacation to the Jersey Shore (Sea Isle City, in fact) and it was so nice to soak in the sun! When not at the beach I have been cooped up in my studio (happily I must admit, this heat is too much for me)!
Fall weddings are the new spring so I have been quite busy painting leaves and admiring all the intense colors that my fall brides love so much. Earlier this week I finished a look I call the Fall Wrap. Layers of beautiful papers and ribbon are just right with my touch of bronze hand-painted leaves. Phew, my hand is sore after this one!
